Description of roles

Secretary

The secretary is in charge of managing meeting minutes, compiling and distributing the meeting agenda, and responding to email inquires. 

Health & Wellness

The health and wellness coordinator is responsible for providing and facilitating events that encourage the health and wellness of students. 

Faculty Liaison

The Faculty Liaison attends monthly meetings with faculty and acts as an advocate of the NSC and Nursing students. 

Communications

The social media/ communications coordinator oversees promotional material through social media and facilitates online community among students. 

Year Representatives

There will be 2 year representatives for each year in the BScN program. The year reps will act as an advocate and voice for their year. They will promote events and recruit volunteers within their year. 

Bridging representatives

The 2 RPN to BScN bridging representatives will act as a voice and advocate for the bridging students. They will be a source of communication between bridging students and the NSC. 

RNAO Liaison

The RNAO Liaison is chosen by the RNAO Durham/Northumberland Chapter and acts to involve the NSC in RNAO run events and initiatives. 

CNSA representative

The Canadian Nursing Student Association representative acts as a liaison between the CNSA and the NSC. The CNSA rep encourages NSC involvement in CNSA events and initiatives.
